Do I need any special shoes for my dance lesson?
Although dance shoes are ideal, any dress
shoe is fine. However, rubber soles, sandals and running shoes
are discouraged. They just do not do well at all for dancing.
How often should schedule my private
lessons?
That ís really up to you and your
teacher. We just recommend that you not put too much time
between lessons because you might forget what you have learned.
Your lessons are valuable and are best used on new material.
Once or twice a week is ideal, but it is ultimately your schedule
that will have to dictate when you are able to come.
May I bring my own music?
Sure. If there is special music you would
like to work with, bring it. We love new music.
May I bring my children to my lesson?
Although we do not have a baby sitting
service, you are welcome to bring your children. We do ask
that your children be encouraged not to disrupt you during
your class or others during their classes.
Can my friends or family come and
watch?
Absolutely! We love to have company. They
may come to your private lesson, group lesson and our practice
parties.
Are there times I can come just to
practice?
We have an open floor policy so you are
always welcome to come any time to practice. However, we are
not able to guarantee the music. This is ideal for couples.
If you do not have a partner you may want to see if there
is another student who would want to join you. Just let us
know you are coming.
Can I call the same day for an appointment?
Yes, if possible, we will do our best to
find a time for you.
Do I need to schedule a time for
group lessons or parties?
No. Group lessons and parties are on a
come when you can basis. We made it that way so that you can
fit them into your busy schedule.
Will I always have the same teacher?
We understand the importance of the teacher
- student relationship so we will do everything we can to
be sure that the teacher of your choice is available for your
appointment. However, circumstances may make that difficult
so, in that case another teacher will be assigned to you.
Do I have to let the studio know if I can not make my private
lesson?
Yes. If you must cancel an appointment,
we would appreciate a phone call no less than 6 hours before
your scheduled time slot otherwise you may be charged for
that lesson. This courtesy helps us to fill the time slot
with another student.
What is a standing appointment?
A standing appointment is an appointment
made for a certain time slot every week with the same teacher
i.e. a 7:00pm time slot every Wednesday evening with Leigh.
How do I make a standing appointment
with my teacher?
Just check with your teacher to see if
there is a mutually agreeable time slot for the two of you.
We will do everything we can to accommodate you request.
How long may I keep my standing appointment?
You may keep your standing appointment
as long as you and your teacher desire. This studio encourages
standing appointments, however, the studio always reserves
the right to cancel a standing lesson if a need arises.
Can I loose my standing appointment?
Yes, you can loose your standing appointment.
If you are unable to keep two standing appointments in a row,
it will be assumed that the time slot that was chosen isnít
working out for you and the standing appointment will be released
for others as needed.
To be fair, you may be assured that we will use every possible
means to be sure there is no miscommunication or misunderstanding
and you would definitely be informed of the change.
And remember, if you have any questions at all, just give
us a call. We'll be more than happy to help you. 513-984-6222.
